“It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it's still here. So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely, mysterious, and awesome space.” ~ Edward Abbey
Dear Smuggler,
Looking to escape the heat and bustle of the day-to-day summer-in-the-city hustle?
Dreaming of warm days and cookouts punctuated by cooler nights and campfires?
Or maybe kayaking, canoeing, tubing…
Hiking, mountain biking, and rappelling…
For all that and more, Vermont is a wonderful place to be right now.
Daytime temps in the high 70s and low 80s are ideal for backcountry adventures, farmer’s markets, and local craft beer, wine, and fine spirits tastings; evening hoodie weather in the 50s and 60s is perfect for outside dining, live music, or just heading back to the cabin for a night in with family and friends.
It's nice when you don’t need a ‘Plan B’ because you’ve got so many ‘Plan A’s’ to choose from…
And, we hardly have to say it, but regardless of where you decide to wander and explore, you won’t have to battle traffic to get there – ‘hustle and bustle’ isn’t really a thing around here.
Between here and there? Drop into any of our four tasting rooms listed below, say hi, and take your own sweet time sampling the spirits.
Here’s to mid-summer in Vermont.
Cheers,
Jeremy & Ron
