After tasting the Maple Bourbon for the first time many years ago - I knew it was good. Now after tasting others and searching local stores to find who carries it (so I can buy/enjoy some more) - the best explanation provided by a salesperson was: "Most Maple Bourbons are Maple Syrup that taste like Bourbon; Smugglers' Notch Maple Bourbon is an honest Bourbon that has just enough Maple taste"!!!

Was first introduced to Smugglers Notch a couple of years ago at at local store in Brooklyn NY. We actually made a visit to the distillery as well in Vermont while on vacation. I have over 30 bottles of bourbon at home and this is at the top. Love the taste of the maple barrels and it's not too strong for me so excellent for sipping. My only complaint is that I couldn't find anywhere in NYC this time around so had to order from Vermont. Nice job, well done!

I knew if I want high quality with maple, I needed to go to Vermont. Just what was needed. Smooth, easy drinking but not overpowering maple. Wonder what a little proof would be like? Great for cold nights! Will be ordering refills.

It is one of the best bourbons out there in my opinion. I love the sweet bourbon finish with a slightly smoky and a little bit of a spice aftertaste absolutely love it, and will always buy from them!

Picked up some on a trip earlier. Shared with friends. All of us liked the smooth taste with the lingering aftertaste of maple. Makes the best old fashioned slushiest.
