I like to make my own old fashioned. The maple in this bourbon adds some unique flavor to my cocktail. It has become one of my favorites. I usually keep a bottle in stock. I normally use Ryes for my mix because of the extra sweetness. No need with this maple bourbon.

I first learned of this wonderful whiskey while on a trip to Vermont and visiting a Smuggler s Notch tasting store. I tried both the straight bourbon and, of course the maple version (this is Vermont after all), and the taste was amazing. I have been a fan ever since. Makes great Christmas presents! Highly recommended.

After tasting the Maple Bourbon for the first time many years ago - I knew it was good. Now after tasting others and searching local stores to find who carries it (so I can buy/enjoy some more) - the best explanation provided by a salesperson was: "Most Maple Bourbons are Maple Syrup that taste like Bourbon; Smugglers' Notch Maple Bourbon is an honest Bourbon that has just enough Maple taste"!!!
